Welcome to Glas
Weld Europe Glass Renovation & Scratch Removal Service.
Glas Weld Systems, have been in
the glass restoration business for 15 years.
Glas. Weld, established in 1989, specialises in
the automotive and transport industries and
have over 100 technicians throughout UK repairing and restoring
windscreens . It numbers amongst its clients almost every major
fleet operator of buses, trucks and vans and is probably the
largest company in its field .
Chicago Glass, a sister company
of Glas Weld, commenced trading in 2002, employing and developing
its glass restoration skills into the construction and glazing industry
as well as transport , on both vehicles
and buildings, for the major bus and train manufacturers, operators
and maintenance companies.
Chicago Glass has developed the only glass polishing
system in the world for taking scratches out of glass without
distortion . Their distortion free polishing has been tested
and approved by Scientifics, BSI and SGS.
Chicago Glass can also rebuild damaged glass that
has been cracked or chipped, can restore damage that has been
created by weld and grinder splatter and can polish out etched
graffiti in glass caused by vandals using glasscutters or spark
plugs.
Chicago Glass also has, we believe, developed the
only polishing process for the removal of acid graffiti from
glass , which is a serious problem for London Underground.
In our quest to find a more cost effective solution
for restoring glass in buildings, trains and buses that had been
blighted by etched graffiti and, then protecting the surfaces
against further damage, we have developed a totally unique process
under the title of Graffiti Gone which
was the subject of a patent application in June 2003. This patent
has now been extended to cover Europe and USA. The patent application
number for Graffiti Gone process is 042534693.
Chicago Glass currently employs teams of technicians
based in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Derby, Birmingham and London,
as well as individual mobile technicians to give national coverage.
The field teams are supported, by a management team and office
facilities in Gravesend, Kent. In short we work with any company
that is involved with the manufacture, handling, installation
or users of commercial glass. In the domestic market we also
have a proven track record of working with our customers to cracked
or chipped vehicle windscreens and also scratch removal and polishing
of household glass items. |
